What we keep
Appointment requests
When you send a request we store what you typed (city, name, phone, email, kind of document, number of signers, meeting place and address if given, preferred times, notes), the time it was sent and a one-way scrambled form of your internet address used only to limit repeated sending. Only the notaries can see requests: Weldon Hastings sees all of them; Kristy Ansley sees Columbus requests.
Requests are deleted automatically 180 days after they are sent, or sooner if a notary deletes one. To have yours deleted sooner, ask the notary for your city. Nightly backup copies of the database are kept for 14 days, so a deleted request can remain in those copies until they roll off. A copy is also taken when the site is updated; those copies are kept privately by WeldonPC, which runs this site, and are not shared with anyone.
The site does not see or store your ID or your document. Any record a notary keeps of a notarization is made at the appointment, not on this website.
Cookies and tracking
The request form sets one security cookie that stops forged form posts. The private notary sign-in sets a session cookie. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and nothing is shared with or sold to anyone.
A new request may be emailed to the notary for that city. This website never sends email to you.
Who runs this site
The Notarizers website is hosted and run by WeldonPC.com, 5829 Turney Road, Garfield Heights, Ohio 44125.
